Brittany Daniel and her twin sister Cynthia first appeared on the Hollywood scene when they were 11 years old. The two did some modeling, appearing in teen magazines like Seventeen and YM. In 1989, Brittany began her career in television, playing a small role alongside her sister in the series The New Leave It to Beaver. At 16, she landed the role of Mila in the show Swan Crossing. Brittany moved to New York to film the series, which lasted for a total of fifty-four episodes.

In 1993, Brittany Daniel starred in the Double mint Gum television commercial, making her a well-recognized face in American households. Shortly after that, she was given the role of Jessica Wakefield on the television show Sweet Valley High. The show was based from the books of the same name and follows the high school lives of twin sisters Jessica and Elizabeth (played by Cynthia). Elizabeth is the responsible twin, while Jessica is fun-loving, flirty and mischievous. The show lasted for four seasons, only one of which is available on DVD.

After Sweet Valley High was over, Brittany Daniel had small roles in a number of television shows, including Dawson’s Creek, That ‘70s Show and Just Shoot Me!. She was given one of the lead roles in That ‘80s Show, but the series only lasted for one season. Brittany’s next big television role was as Kelly Pitts in the show The Game. The show, which was a spin-off of Girlfriends, follows a group of women and their relationships with professional football players. The Game lasted for 49 episodes, almost as long as Sweet Valley High.

Brittany’s next big television role was on It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, where she played the part of a transsexual by the name of Carmen. She guest starred on the show four times, once in 2005, once in 2007, and twice in 2010. Brittany Daniel has also appeared in a number of movies as well. She starred in two Wayans Brothers films, the 2004 movie White Chicks and Little Man in 2006. More recently, Brittany Daniel played the part of Candice in the thriller movie Skyline.

Throughout her years in Hollywood, Brittany Daniel has appeared in four magazine pictorials. In addition, in May 1998, People ran an article about Brittany and her twin, and Teen People had an article on Brittany in February of 2000. She was featured on the front cover of Stuff for Men’s March 2001 issue. Brittany Daniel has now moved on to create the media, and is the consulting executive producer on the show Ruby. Ruby is a reality television series that follows the life of a woman who weighs 500 pounds.

Brittany Daniel has been nominated for a total of four awards, two of which she won. In 1993, she was nominated for a Young Artist Award for her role in Swans Crossing. She and her sister won a Best Performance: Yong Actress in a TV Comedy Series Young Artist Award for their work on Sweet Valley High. In 2007, the New York International Independent Film & Video Festival awarded Brittany Best Actress for her role in Last of the Romantics. The same year, MTV Movie Awards nominated her in the Best Kiss category, for her on screen chemistry with Marlon Wayans in Little Man.
